Campaigns legally need to know who you are. They do not need to keep your inbox and your phone forever.

Your protected address and number

Use a Ballotgrove email address, like maria@ballotgrove.giving, and a masked phone number on any campaign's donation form, wherever you already give, from day one. Messages forward to you on your terms. Your real contact details stay private.

Preferences that stick

Quiet a campaign, switch to a weekly digest, or unsubscribe for good, from one dashboard. Because messages travel through your protected channels, your choices do not depend on any campaign's cooperation.

Who shared your number

Every organization reaches you through its own version of your address, so when your information gets passed along, you will see exactly who did it, and you can close that door with one click.

How it works.

The law requires campaigns to collect your real name, address, occupation, and employer. It does not require your real email or phone. So we protect the channels, never the identity.

The meaning of our name.

Ballot is democracy's oldest privacy promise. Since the adoption of the secret ballot, what happens behind the voting curtain has belonged to you alone: no one gets to look, no one gets to follow you home, and no one gets to put you on a list. We chose the word because it names both the world we serve and the standard we hold. The privacy your vote has always had is the privacy your participation deserves.

Grove is where trees stand together. A grove offers what a single tree cannot: shade, shelter, and quiet, a place where the wind arrives gentler because it has to pass through many trunks first. Groves are also how we grew. Our sister organization, Pandokin, takes its name from Pando, the aspen grove that looks like thousands of separate trees but shares one living root system. Ballotgrove is a new stand of trees from that same spirit: separate above the ground, as the law requires, kindred beneath it.

A membership, not a product.

Ballotgrove is planned as a nonpartisan 501(c)(4) membership organization, funded by member dues of a few dollars a month, roughly the price of one coffee. No investors, no advertisers, and no reselling of anything about you, ever. Members are the mission, not the product.

Political contributions are never tax-deductible, and neither are Ballotgrove dues. What you get instead is something rarer: participation in democracy without surrendering your peace.

You should never have to choose between supporting a candidate and keeping control of your own phone.

Where things stand, honestly.

Ballotgrove does not exist yet. It is a planned sister organization of Pandokin, a startup building privacy-first infrastructure for charitable giving. The two will be legally separate organizations with separate governance, funding, and records, and if you join both, one login will show your charitable and political giving clearly separated.

Ballotgrove is a working name and may change. We publish this page because we would rather build in the open than promise in the dark.
